Pro Rider Models

Steve Boomhower Model- The Boomhower Pro Model is a Carbon Comp that has been tweaked to the specifications of one of Zap's team riders and shapers, Steve Boomhower. This board has a narrower nose and tail, so you still have the float of a Comp, but with more maneuverability. Easily our most popular seller, and with good reason - sick stick.

Boomhower Voyager- The Voyager is another one of the Steve Boomhower designs. This board has a wide nose which helps hold the board in the wave and a moon tail to brake up the water and make it turn easier.

Boomhower Bullet Model- Another one of Boomhower's designs, this board has a squared tail which makes it easier to get out to the wave on, but makes it a bit loose in wraps. The wider nose helps hold the board in the wave face.

Boomhower Dagger Model- Here we have another one of Boomhower's designs. This board has a squared tail which makes it easier to get out to the wave on, but makes it a bit loose in wraps and the wingers (the notch on each side of the board) helps hold the board in the waveface. The Dagger has a narrower nose.

M5- Do you remember the Zap Egg? The M5 is similar to the Egg, but it has been tweaked by Bob Smetts, the owner of Zap. The M5 is a wider board, but still very fast. Being a wider board it offers a great amount of float which makes it an awesome line riding board.

James Lovett Model- The James Lovett Model is a thinner board, 5/8" thick instead of Zap's traditional 3/4".

Rocket Fish - If you skim a break where the waves come in at an angle (like the Outer Banks, for example), this could be your most favoritest (yeah, I said that) board ever. This double winged fish simply flies down the line. The wingers near the tail and the fish (swallowtail) design help hold the board in the waveface while going down the line. The fish tail also breaks up the water which increases maneuverability. We also carry this model in a 1" thickness which floats like you wouldn't believe.
